ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

... is jewelry from Lauren G. Adams. Particularly, these two bangles.

There is something very Chloe-ish about them. Then again, anything equestrian-related immediately reminds me of Chloe.

You can buy them both online at Max&Chloe.

LANVIN LOVES H&M: THE SCORE

Yup, time to be a good little blogger and post my Lanvin <3 H&M collection haul. As I mentioned before, I wasn't totally blown away by this collection. Last year's Jimmy Choo collab had me drawing up game plans on how exactly I was going to score every single piece, so I suppose I was a little disappointed when all the Lanvin images were finally released and I didn't really swoon over any of the pieces—particularly the accessories.

However, one item that I really did love were the sunglasses. Knowing full well most other bloggers had these on their shopping lists, the low price-point and because I didn't bother going down to H&M the morning of the release (or the day after), I sort of gave up hope on scoring a pair.

Well today I had some time to kill in the morning, so I managed to talk my boyfriend into driving me to a sort-of out-of-the-way H&M location that had stocked the collection (Kista is the name of the town, which is a suburb of Stockholm). We ended up getting there just as the doors were opened, and I casually looked around to see if there was anything left.

As I made my way to the back of the store I spotted a small stand with a few of the dresses remaining, and some boxes near the floor.

Not even thinking there were any sunglasses left, I opened one of the boxes to see what was in it. Lo and behold, there they were!

The last pair in possibly all of Sweden, and they were mine! Haha! I didn't even have to wait in line for them, or pay a gazillion dollars for them on eBay! Success! Can you tell I'm excited?

Anyway, there are still items to be had out there. I noticed this morning H&M had restocked their website with quite a few pieces. I was almost tempted to get that yellow one-shouldered dress, but I decided to save my money on a piece from another collaboration that I've had my eye on for a month or so (will post picts soon). Either way, if you were one of the unlucky ones don't give up hope.

Happy shopping!

DRAK KNIGHTS

No, I did not spell that wrong. The Drak Knights editorial is featured in the latest issue of Runway Magazine and was shot by photographer Christian Rios—and it's blowing my mind.

This has to be my favorite shot. Isn't the lighting exquisite? And I love the juxtaposition between the graffiti'd water tower and the obvious beauty of the model (even if she is done up to look tough).

I also love the familiarity of this picture. This will probably sound funny to most people, but I can totally tell this was shot in the L.A. area. I'd recognize that haze and those mountains in the distance from anywhere. Home.

I can't believe I'm not over studs and spikes yet. I guarantee you if it's studded, I already own it.

DANY VS. LITA

Who will win my love?

Basically I've been cyber-stalking these shoes for quite some time now. Originally I only had eyes for Dany, but since the end of Summer Lita has slowly crept her way into my heart.

Part of me says to just make room for the both of them, however Lita is just so hard to find these days, and I get the feeling she's cheating on me as I've seen her on the feet of (guessing) hundreds of bloggers by now. Dany on the other hand is newly available and I wouldn't feel so awkward hanging out with her in the Summer time, she also isn't as popular as Lita so I feel like I should give her a chance.

Decisions, decisions...

TEN HOLIDAY PARTY RULES ACCORDING TO ANNA DELLO RUSSO

A couple days ago the magnificent Anna Dello Russo posted these ten rules for attending parties this holiday season on her blog (I love that she has a blog). And whatever Anna says, goes. So, without further adieu I bring you Anna's Ten Party Commandments along with some pictures I've added for your viewing pleasure!

"Now begins the critical period for parties to celebrate Christmas. They involve family and friends, as well as formal events. Here are my 10 rules to be always on top!"

1. Don't wear RED or GREEN outfits. You will look like a Christmas tree.

2. Forget any COATS—even if it's only 5 degrees outside. You should make a big impact just with your dress.

3. Choose GOLD. You will emphasize the idea that you are a Christmas GIFT to unwrap.

4. Go to the hairdresser. Get a facial, manicure and pedicure. Don't worry to be OVER-DONE!

5. Choose between a HAT or MAKEUP. If you wear a hat keep a fresh face, otherwise you will look like a transvestite.

6. Wear lots of JEWELRY. The sound of JEWELRY banishes bad thoughts and bad ghosts.

7. Focus on the SHOES. Generally at a Christmas party you spend a lot of time seated on the sofa.

8. Shoes have to carry all the magical atmosphere of Christmas. Choose a sparkly, shiny, eccentric, metallic, decorative, precious, brocade, extravagant, color-full, magnificent, enchanting ... PAIR OF SHOES.
9. Don't worry about a BAG, you will immediately forget it on some chairs.

10.  Don't throw yourself on the drinks and on the food. It's not POLITE!

Happy Holidays!

RIVER ISLAND NOW AVAILABLE ON ASOS!

Hurray!

River Island is now being sold online through asos.com. Previously River Island was only available at their boutiques or through online ordering (for customers living in the UK). Unfortunately Sweden doesn't have a River Island store, so I've been left out in the cold—until now. There are about 96 different pieces from their A/W2010 collection, and I'm crossing my fingers more will become available in the near future (a certain high-heeled shearling boot, not unlike Burberry's fab pair, come to mind).

Happy shopping!

KATE MOSS IN THE RAW

Juergen Teller shot a very photo-heavy spread of (an unphotoshopped) Kate Moss for the December 2010 issue of Self Service Magazine. Below are some of my favorite shots (some are NSFWish, so viewer be warned!).

LOOK OUT WINTER (CAUSE HERE I COME)

My new Timberland Mukluk boots were delivered today, and just in time if you ask me. The temperature here in Stockholm is starting to head south on the thermostat real fast (below freezing). Some Swedish weather forecasters are predicting this winter to be the coldest winter in 100 years (yikes)!

And while they're not the most glamorous of boots, I am super excited to wear them. I have a feeling these will end up being the best purchase I make all winter (which in Sweden, lasts a very long time).

If you live in Sweden and have been trying desperately to nab yourself a pair of these (they're practically sold out everywhere) you can still find some online at Zoo Village, which is where I ordered mine from. They also carry the boots in the colors white and "wheat."

Happy shopping!

IT'S A SHEAR(LING) THING.

Loving this shearling jacket from Need Supply Co. And if it couldn't be more desirable than it already is, it's priced at just $74.00 USD. Adding to cart as write this...

PLAYING CATCH UP

Image via New York Magazine
It's been a little over a week since my last post and a lot has gone down in the fashion world, let's recap. H&M released images of the entire Lanvin/H&M collection and the final Kate Moss for TOPSHOP collection was launched. Both collections were meh. I had actually planned to line-up at H&M on the 23rd and live blog the release of the collection, but I'm not really feeling any of the pieces (except for maybe the sunglasses), so I don't think it will be worth my time and energy to get up at 5am and wait in a long-line with several hundred other rabid fashionistas, pushing and shoving their way into H&M. Moving on.

Speaking of H&M I pretty much own the entire Arizona Dream collection now (well, almost). I bought this leather jacket and these suede pants, however I'm returning the pants because they just don't fit right. Story of my life.

I ordered these Timberland boots. Super excited to get them because winter has arrived in Stockholm in all it's freezing-cold glory (we had quite the snowstorm yesterday).

I bought an apartment! Expect lots of interior design posts in the near future!

The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will celebrate the work of the late designer Alexander McQueen in its annual spring exhibition. The show, which will open May 4 and run through July 31, 2011. What I wouldn't give to see it!

WWD turned 100 years old, which in fashion magazine years is like, as old as Jesus Christ.

I am obsessed with short hair after seeing a slew of celebrities chop off their locks—the latest being Ashlee Simpson. How adorable does she look? And check her out channeling Edie Sedgwick here. In the immortal words of Rachel Zoe, "I die."

That's it for now. Expect regular posting to resume now that this past hectic week is behind me.

Andie

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Although Halloween is technically on Sunday (tomorrow), most Halloween parties will be happening tonight. I've been invited to a friend's party but I have absolutely no motivation to find a costume. I was originally planning on going as David Bowie from the Aladdin Sane album cover, but a difficult week at work and zero energy crippled my costume hunting efforts this week.

Now with not much time left to plan a costume I think I'll end up going as a "fashion blogger," donning my trendiest pieces. That works, right? ;-)

On second thought, maybe I can just run to the grocery store and pick up a Lady GaGa costume there.

Hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween!

XO,

Andie

ABIGAL'S PARTY

Loving the photo on TOPSHOP's homepage featuring their Abigail's Party collection. Everything from the black jersey jumpsuit with the gold belt to the model's perfectly coiffed brunette hair and smokey eye makeup are simply stunning—definitely right in line with Marc Jacob's SS11 show. Even her beautiful pale skin has got me wanting to slather on the SPF50 sunscreen.

This one is going into my inspiration folder.

MOVE OVER, ELVIRA HANCOCK

Anja Rubik looking a lot like Michella Pfieffer via Scarface in the November issue of Vogue Russia. I absolutely love this look.
